2017 is going to be really exciting for streaming TV entrepreneurs. Roku just announced that they have now put in place a marketing system to help channel producers get more subscribers to their channel on Roku. This is a game changer for channel producers. Roku has over 3,500 channel producers and one of the big hurdles is how do we effectively market our channel to the over 15 million devices that are in homes around the world. This new advertising system is going to be key to growing the channel producer audience. Above on the picture where the arrow is pointing is the position where your ad would be placed on the Roku home screen of the target audience that you want.
Although this is exciting news, the self-serve promotion platform is a little pricey. The cost to use the platform is $15.00 CPM and the minimum starts at 50,000.
